Forward: The following testimonial is from
Mary M. Her training spanned from April of 2008 to
October of 2009.
“Before I started with Insider Training, I was feeling
very FAT. I was already doing Pilates, however that was
not addressing my weight loss as much as I would have
liked. Having been on Google for months looking for a
good option that would appeal to me, I found Insider
Training. I knew I was ready!
Prior to my training I was involved in a severe car
accident that left me with daily pain in my joints,
neck, sciatica, and had limited motion in one half of my
body. I worked diligently with my chiropractor to
improve range of motion and diet. My chiropractor and I
thought it would be a good idea to join some type of
exercise program to help with my weight loss and regain
some strength in my muscles.
Insider Training appealed to me because I was
embarrassed about the weight I gained after my car
accident. I did not really want to go to a gym, so a
personal trainer coming to my home was very important
for me - and so convenient! I had done the low-carb
thing, multiple other diets, worked with personal
trainers and had always been fairly active. After my car
accident I found I needed something else to address all
the issues I would face with my body as I tried to get
back to the fitness level I once had.
When I started with Insider Training Alison was my
personal trainer, and she was great. I lost 3 or 4 lbs
the first 2 weeks. Her constant pep talks helped me stay
focused. “You are doing fine,” she would say. “You are
going to get through this.” After consistent training
for months and with some good progress, Alison left the
company to move out of state. I admit I was concerned
how my training would proceed. Chris became my personal
trainer and the results progressed. I continued to lose
weight, reduce my body fat, and see the results I was
looking for. I was so impressed with what I was seeing,
I convinced a friend to do some group training sessions
with me for several months and all three of us had a
blast! I even got my husband training for some time.
To date, I have lost over 45lbs. I have gone from a size
14 down to a size 6. I have more energy and do not have
the digestion issues I once had. My overall ease of
movement, health and fitness all improved. Insider
Training worked within my nutritional program my
chiropractor set up for me, while helping me to
understand my food choices and providing me constant
nutritional feedback. Instead of just dieting I have now
achieved a lifestyle change!
I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the staff at
Insider Training. Having worked with two different
personal trainers of the Insider Training team, I was
impressed the level of training remained the same and
both trainers were committed to getting me where I
wanted to be….healthy and feeling good!”

I am so happy for Mary! It was a pleasure to work with
her. It was so exciting to work with her because she was
very determined to change her lifestyle. As Mary stated,
when she started there were several issues we had to
work with prior to beginning her weight loss program.
Recovering from a major car accident, we had to really
focus on helping her regain balance and stability.
Improving the function of her core musculature became
paramount. As Mary was able to move better we were able
to progress her to tougher, more challenging exercises.
By the end of Mary’s program, she was doing running
intervals on her treadmill, and enjoying every minute of
it. The progress Mary was able to make was a result of
how determined and focused she was to improve her health
and fitness. Mary was able to be successful with her
weight loss not only because of her exercise program,
but she paid very close attention to her nutrition. She
was always tracking and questioning what she ate and how
it would affect her. Mary took her nutrition seriously
and took the time to understand how to make smart
choices by planning and making small, consistent changes
as she went through her program. Those small changes
lead to big weight loss over time. I am so happy to have
worked with Mary. Our teamwork really helped her
overcome a major obstacle in her life, and we were able
to be successful with her weight loss.
Though none of this was easy, Mary is proof that with
the right attitude and with proper training major health
and fitness goals can and will be achieved.
